Posted October 31, 2011. Welcome to the Jaguar Owners Club Richard. It could be a faulty connection within the ABS pump module or a dirty ABS wheel speed sensor. Give the ABS sensors a clean and if that doesnt work try the ABS pump module. Eliminate those first.

1986 Answers. SOURCE: check engine light is on,display says restricted performance. Anything can cause the check engine light to go on from a loose gas cap, to a transmission issue. When the onboard computer detects an issue, it will restrict performance so as to not damage the engine any further. An Oil change won't affect this light.

But the Restricted Performance issue still appears if I "boot" it. Yesterday - less than a week after clearing it - the DPF Full warning came on again. Last night I did the same run again, and again the fault cleared after checking it at the half way point, about 40 miles, but the engine warning light stayed on. oE75.
