I usually run a music player outside of ATS/ETS 2. Alt-tab to skip songs and pause. By this i take it you mean somethig like Spotify, Amazon music etc. Even I tunes or Windows media player playing whilst playing ETS2 or ATS. Yes. I usually use Winamp.

The way I use Spotify while I drive is that I put playlist I like playing and then go back into the game. I would doubt there are many Internet radio stations streaming that sort of music, and it would have to be compatible with ETS2's player, which isn't keeping up with the codecs that are used for streaming these days.
There are mods adding extra money and experience per job. I’m on my phone but have a look in the steam workshop. There should be a couple you could subscribe to temporarily.
