DmC Definitive Edition is a port of the 2013 reboot to PS4\Xbone with some tweaks. As for which you should get, as long as you are happy playing older games (Devil may cry came out in 2001) then pick up the HD collection. Personally recommend HD collection mostly for DMC3. I like DMC3's story better. The story feels more complete and we learned at lot of new things. DMC5 just left me with more questions. How they managed to make a game (with 3 hours of cutscenes) revolve around Vergil's rebirth and reveal almost nothing new about him is crazy. I still had fun with the story though.
Devil May Cry 4 is deeply flawed, but the new 1080p, 60 frames-per-second wrapping provided by the Special Edition does well to modernize the aesthetic while maintaining the series' blistering
